Notice to Report to Work in Manzanar

Issued to Ichiro Nagatani to work as a motor operator in Manzanar. July 20, 1942. Right away all able bodied men and women from Bainbridge Island found work at Manzanar. Unskilled laborers were paid $12 a month. Skilled laborers such as carpenters, nurses, and cooks received $16 a month. Professional employees such as doctors, engineers, and managers were paid $19 a month.
