Join Tsuru for Solidarity as they mark their one year anniversary in their demand to stop repeating a history of injustice, pain, and trauma: Close the camps.
Due to the pandemic, we have postponed our national gathering and caravan planned for June 2020 in Washington D.C. and replaced it with a Virtual Event to Close the Camps. The June 6th-7th online gathering is an invitation and roadmap to get more involved. We have planned an action packed weekend of community building, impactful conversations about solidarity and direct action, celebration of community, plus cross-community healing circles. The entire event is free online so that as many people as possible may come together. Get more information and register here.
Tsuru for Solidarity is a nonviolent, direct action project of Japanese American social justice advocates working to end detention sites and support front-line immigrant and refugee communities that are being targeted by racist, inhumane immigration policies. The organization is unrelated to BIJAC. This event notice is provided as information only and is not intended to be an endorsement of Tsuru for Solidarity.
