“We Are All Americans”–Free Online Workshop for Teachers of History and the Humanities

The Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) and BIJAC, in partnership with the National Japanese American Historical Society (San Francisco), are sponsoring a Zoom teacher workshop on July 15-17, 2020 on the Japanese American incarceration experience. The interactive workshop will feature presentations by Clarence Moriwaki and Frank Abe, and provide activities for online learning for students. This curriculum is designed for secondary students. It has also been used by teachers of middle school students who have modified and adapted it for both social studies and language arts classes.

Teachers will receive free clock hours and a $300 stipend for attending the three 2-1/2 hour workshops.
