Bainbridge High School students who returned to in-person instruction this month came back to a gleaming new 100 Building.
The new facility — which holds common areas, a cafeteria, labs and instruction spaces — was completed alongside a renovation of what was formerly a commons space in the high school’s 200 Building into a new theater. The $40 million project was funded by a pair of voter-approved measures in 2016 and 2019.
The renewed theater space has 350 seats, a new overhead tension grid for hanging lights and scenery, a new sound booth, a scene shop and a small black box theater that can also be used as a classroom.
