WE HEREBY REFUSE: Japanese American Resistance to Wartime Incarceration

Check out this Sacramento Bee story about Frank Abe and Tamiko Nimura’s new graphic novel about Japanese American resisters during WWII — a group that includes Hiroshi Kashiwagi and Mitsuye Endo, both incarcerated at Tule Lake, and both from the Sacramento area.

“We Hereby Refuse: Japanese American Acts of Resistance During World War II,” is published by the Wing Luke Museum in Seattle and will be available May 18.
