The theme for this year’s annual March 30th Commemoration event was “Remember Me,” a tribute honoring the individuals and families who were forcibly removed from their homes on March 30, 1942. Due to ongoing construction at the Exclusion Memorial Grounds, the event was held indoors at the Bainbridge Performing Arts Center. With the generous support of Bainbridge Performing Arts, a grant from the Bainbridge Community Foundation, and donations from Town & Country Market, more than 160 family members, friends, and community leaders gathered together in remembrance. Attendees listened as families shared stories and honored the loved ones whose lives were forever changed by the forced incarceration of Japanese Americans during World War II.
